What is Juvéderm Volbella® XC?

Volbella XC® is a cosmetic, dermal filler designed to enhance the fullness of lips and to smooth the appearance of fine lines around the mouth in a more natural and subtle way. Allergan utilizes Vycross Technology to cross-link high and low weight hyaluronic acids to produce a smoother, more efficient injectable gel. 

Volbella XC® at our Carmel plastic surgery office located north of Indianapolis is administered through a series of injections. The procedure is minimally invasive and topical anesthesia may be used to decrease discomfort. After treatment, some redness or swelling may last for up to 7 days.  The rejuvenating effects of Volbella XC® can last up to a year. Volbella XC® is specifically designed to treat the lips and the area around the mouth. This includes fine lines stemming from the upper and lower lip also known as perioral lines or ‘lipstick lines”.  If the aging process has caused your lips to lose volume and thin or if you prefer a fuller look than your natural lip, Volbella XC® filler can safely be used to create perfectly pouty lips and a shapely cupid’s bow with a soft natural result.
