Happy Nurse's Week to Our Awesome Nurse - Trisha
Help us in wishing the best nurse ever, Trisha, a wonderful Nurse's Week!! Trisha has been Dr Grasee's and Dr Bergman's nurse for the last 15 years. We are very fortunate to have her and simply could not run the office without her.
The 2023 Nurses Week theme “Nurses Make a Difference: Anytime, Anywhere – Always” honors the unwavering commitment of nurse's everywhere. Nurse's week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale's birthday. Although advances in science have changed the nursing profession over the years, the very core of nursing—caring for patients —remains unchanged. Nurses bring a special compassion and concern for the patient and for the patient's family. No one embodies compassion and concern for the patient more than Trisha.
Perhaps Trisha puts it best, " Being an LPN is not my job, it is my passion!"
Trisha is a native of the land of 10,000 lakes and if you listen closely you can hear the distinctive Minnesotan accent. She began her journey in healthcare as a CNA in a nursing home in Minnesota shortly after high school. Next, she worked as a CNA in the labor and delivery unit at a local hospital. After a short time, she made the courageous decision to return to school and obtain her LPN degree all while continuing to work in labor and delivery and getting married and starting her family. She worked in the labor and delivery unit for 9 years. In 2008, she made the move to Indiana where we were fortunate to have her join us at Carmel Cosmetic & Plastic Surgeons.
